For adult parties, try lemonade tip: Mix 3 tbsp fresh mint in a glass. Add ice, 1 ounces of rum, and 3/4 cup lemonade.

2. Iced Fruit Punch

Freeze fruit juices in ice cube tray molds in festive shapes. As the juice cubes melt, their flavors mingle to form a refreshing drink. Choose juices in a range of colors and flavors.

  • Watermelon: 6 cups 1-inch cubes seedless
  • Lemon juice: 1/2 cup
  • Cane sugar: 3/4 cup
  • Crushed ice

  1. Work in batches, if necessary, watermelon purée and lemon juice in the blender until smooth; Transfer to large container. Add

  • Cantaloupe or honeydew seeds, with pulp from just around the seeds: 1 1/2 cup
  • Honey: 1/4 cup
  • Finely chopped peeled fresh ginger: 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pure vanilla extract: 1 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ice, for serving


  1. In a blender, mash 4 cups of water, cantaloupe seeds, honey, ginger, and vanilla.
  2. Work in batches, if necessary. Place a fine mesh sieve in a large bowl or pitcher and weld the contents of the mixer by pressing down a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
  3. Discard remaining solids. Taste the fresh water and mix more honey if desired. Serve on ice.

8. Blueberry herb and Lemonade Punch


  • Blueberries: Lemonade
  • Agave nectar or honey: 2 tablespoons
  • Mixed fresh herbs, such as basil, and mint, 2 tablespoons
  • Lemonade: 2 bottles
  • Cold sparkling water: 1 cup


  1. Place the blueberries, agave nectar & herbs in the big pitcher or bowl.
  2. Mash blueberries and herbs with a wooden spoon or mashed potatoes.
  3. Add the lemonade or limeade and mix. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or until cold.
  4. Serve punch over the ice and top with a splash of sparkling water.

  • Cherries: 1 pound
  • Cucumbers: 2
  • Pomegranate juice: 1 cup
  • Lightly packed fresh mint leaves: 1/2 cup
  • Sparkling mineral water: 1 small bottle


  1. Set aside 8 cherries to use for the filling, then break the remaining cherries and transfer to a blender.
  2. Slice half of 1 cucumber into thin slices and set aside with whole cherries to use to garnish.
  3. Peel, sow and chop the remaining cucumbers and add them to the pitted cherries with juice and mint. Puree until smooth.
  4. To make each chiller, pour about 1/2 cup of the cherry mixture into a glass filled with ice, top with about 1/2 cup of sparkling water and garnish with slices of cucumber and cherries.
  5. Serve with agave nectar to sweeten to taste.

10. Ginger Peach Cooler

This drink could not be easier, just combine ginger ale, peach nectar, and sliced peaches in a pitcher and serve on ice.


  • Ginger ale: 3cups
  • Peach nectar: 1/2cup
  • Peaches: 2 ripe, thinly sliced
  • Grated fresh ginger: 1tablespoon


  1. In a pitcher, mix ginger ale, nectar, peaches, and ginger.
  2. Serve on ice.

11. Honeydew, Cucumber, and Mint Cooler

  • Honeydew melon: 1 peeled and chopped
  • Cucumber: 1 big sized, 1/2 chopped and 1/2 thinly sliced

  • Fresh lime juice: 1/2cup, plus 1 lime, thinly sliced, for serving


  1. Purify melon, chopped cucumber, and mint in a blender until smooth. Pass through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher.
  2. Add lemon juice and cucumber slices. Cool for 30 minutes or up to 12 hours.
  3. Stir well before serving. Serve over ice, garnished with slices of lime. Add a little gin, if desired.

12. Pineapple, Lime, and Coconut Spritzer

You can make this tropical concoction up to 12 hours ahead. Just add the club soda before serving for a gaseous impulse.


  • Pineapple juice: 3cups
  • Coconut water: 2cups
  • Fresh lime juice: 1/2cup
  • Club soda or sparkling water: 2cups
  • Pineapple: 1/2 cored and cut into spears


  1. Mix the pineapple juice, coconut water and lime juice in a large pitcher. Cool for 30 minutes or up to 12 hours.
  2. Just before serving, add the club soda. Serve on ice, lined with pineapple. Add a puff of rum, if desired.

13. Strawberry-Thyme Lemonade

Boil the sugar, thyme, and water together to create a delicious syrup; It adds a herbaceous flavor to this fruity libation.


  • Sugar: 1cup
  • Fresh thyme: 8 sprigs
  • Strawberries: hulled and sliced (about 2 1/2 cups)
  • Fresh lemon juice:1 1/2cups


  1. Mix sugar, thyme and 1 cup of water in a small pot. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves. Allow to cool and thyme.
  2. Mix the thyme syrup with strawberries, lemon juice and 5 cups of cold water in a large pitcher.
  3. Cool for 30 minutes or up to 12 hours. Serve over ice, topped with additional thyme.
